Who We Are

About Us

Tandaza Trust exists to fulfill the mandate of the church, Kileleshwa Covenant Community Church, to meet the needs of members and the less fortunate. It is the Social Justice arm of the church that conducts outreach and benevolence ministry to the ‘Least of these’ within our “Jerusalem “ namely the homeless, those with difficulties in getting food, those in need of  jobs. This is achieved through sharing the love of Jesus Christ and accompanying the individuals through a transformational journey by empowering them in every aspect of their lives

Human Resource

We operationalize our activities with a very lean team as we depend heavily on volunteers for additional manpower. Currently the team comprises of

Harriet Were (Program Manager), Eunice Waithaka (Communications & media, Women Empowerment Program), Cecilia Marigi( Women empowerment and discipleship), Sam Wachiuri( Boys/men discipleship, feeding program) and Samuel Gacheru ( Farm Manager-Isinya)

The main focus is within the heartland of Kileleshwa where we cater to the Mama Fua and Boda boda Riders , Kariowa near Ngara (discipleship and women empowerment and ways to improve their enterprises, table banking where they borrow to build their businesses and take care of their needs, grooming presentation and taking care of family. We are in both Kariowa A and Kariowa B

We also have presence at the Globe cinema area where we conduct outreach, discipleship and feeding of the street boys and girls

There is opportunity for community engagement for students, internships and volunteer workers. This allows our publics to interact with people from different walks of life and exchange experiences while learning from each other

This is set up as a collection and distribution point for donations and those that cannot go directly to families in need are sold and the funds ploughed back into the programs to supplement the operation funds. It is a place of dignity where those in need experience the opportunity to choose what they need

We are in the process of raising support to drill a borehole. With the availability of water we will lay the infrastructure for sustainable farming to enable us raise funds to sustain the above programs
